What not to do on Maui

The beautiful island of Maui is one of the most popular and attractive islands in Hawaii. Not only does Maui have the greatness and splendour of two large volcanoes, it also benefits from the crystal blue seas and lush wildnerness that make up the diverse complexion of the island. Centered around the main city, Kahului, a Maui vacation would not be complete without a visit to the West Maui towns of Lahaina and Kapalua as well as Kihei and a trip on the winding highway to Hana. While all of these places have tourist hotspots and wonderful things to do, there are many warnings and cautions that visitors should be aware of prior to embarking on their fun vacation in the sun.
One thing not to do on Maui is to be alert at all times while at the beach. It starts in the parking lot. While Hawaii is a joyous and safe place to be, like any other tourist destination, there is some crime. When parking at the beach, be sure to leave expensive things at home or discretely place them out of view. At the beach, do not enter the water without consulting any warning signs posted by lifeguards and without examining the water conditions. Too many people are injured each year by entering dangerous waters. Finally, do not swim alone. Without a partner, many people go unnoticed and have no one to call out to when danger arises.
